Entropy Assessments

KeyPair Consulting provides entropy analysis and documentation services for NIST Entropy Source Validations (ESV).

When applicable, an entropy source must achieve an Entropy Validation Certificate before the FIPS 140-3 cryptographic module validation report submission to the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP).

KeyPair performs entropy assessments and delivers documentation justifying the entropy source’s conformance to SP 800-90B. SP 800-90B and FIPS 140-3 Implementation Guidance (IG) D.J, D.K, and D.O outline the requirements for an entropy source included in a FIPS 140-3 cryptographic module.
